For our FMP project, I was in charge of creating our podcast identity. I have created this identity by using Illustrator and the references I have found on Pinterest and a photo Frankie have taken for me. I used the photo references to help me draw my identities.
For the first design, I used one of the reference as a guide to draw my design while using the colours that both me and my partner have decided on. I have used a normal brush tool for the eyes and changed the shape of the brush stroke for the eyebrows and the writing.
For the second design, I have decided to try a different art style on the design and explored different types brushes to replicate a water colour like effect on the ident. For example, I had to use a finer brush with 68% opacity to draw the overall design and lower the opacity to my liking to create different shadings for the colouring stage like applying a slight hint of blush effect on underneath the eyes and different shades of brown to create shadows around the eyes and highlights for the skin.
During the recording, I have learnt how to use unfamiliar equipment. I have worked with the RODE mics before last year but it was only for one project, which was the Sound Design project. I was familiar of what the RODE directional mic does but I was not familiar with the working of the 'EDIROL R-44'. Before I loaned this equipment
